If we search the phrase “his own” 3588 and 2398 neuter we will find that there are only eight verses in the New Testament where this phrase is found.
John 10:3 and 4 are significant in that they refer to “his own sheep” and in verse 26 we can see that it is the sheep that believe in the present tense. Jesus was sent by the Father to the sheep of the house of Israel and the sheep are the ones that can believe in the present tense and not those that were around him.
