Believing in the present tense is shown to be the spirit of faith in 2 Corinthians 4:13
Faith comes by hearing the word of the kingdom, the Word of God.
Faith gives substance to the things we hope for. The things that we hope for is an heavenly inheritance in the coming kingdom.
The spirit of faith is believing in the present tense and the evidence of that spirit of faith is faithfully speaking of the hope of the inheritance in the coming kingdom.
