Text: 1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered [present participle] us from the wrath to come [present participle].

1 Cor 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please &ldots;
1 Cor 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1 Cor 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Acts 13:32-33 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal [aiwniov, agelasting] life.
33. God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds (service, labor):
7. [agelasting life] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality [incorruption, opposite of corruption], eternal life:
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (mortality); but he that soweth to the Spirit (sonship) shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
8. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, (their reward will be) indignation and wrath,
9. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10. But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11. For there is no respect of persons with God.
Eph 5:3-6 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children [uiov, sons] of disobedience.
2 Cor 5:9-11 Wherefore we labour (wait and serve), that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted [acceptable, well pleasing] of him.
10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Col 3:24-25 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. (called or elect)
11. Knowing therefore the terror (fobov, fear) of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
1 Cor 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
