Text: John 3:19-21 "And this is the condemnation [JUDGMENT], that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20. For every one that doeth [PAP] evil hateth the light, neither cometh [PMP] to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21. But he that doeth [PAP] truth cometh [PMI] to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought [RPP] in God."
2 Corinthians 5:7-10 "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9. Wherefore we labour [ambitious], that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted [well-pleasing] of him. 10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."
Romans 2:6-9 "Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;"
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works [DEEDS], which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Titus 2:14 "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works [DEEDS]."
Hebrews 6:10 "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work [DEEDS] and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."
Hebrews 10:24 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works [DEEDS]:"
Hebrews 13:21 "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
James 2:14-26 "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe [AAI] on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
James 1:21 "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."
James 5:20 "Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."
1 Peter 1:7 "That the trial of your faith, ...:"
1 Peter 1:8-9 "Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing [PAP], ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."
15. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16. And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead [nekros], being alone.
18. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works [DEEDS], and I will show thee my faith by my works [DEEDS].
1 Corinthians 13:2 "...And though I have all faith, [THAT WORKS, JAMES 2:16,16] so that I could remove mountains [DEEDS], and have not charity, I am nothing."
19. Thou believest [PAI] that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe [PAI], and tremble.
1 Peter 1:8 "Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:"
20. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22. Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? JUSTIFICATION
23. And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God [GEN 15:6], and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Romans 4:3-6 "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,"
Galatians 3:6 "Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
24. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already...."
Romans 8:33 "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth."
25. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26. For as the body without the spirit is dead [nekros], so faith without works is dead [nekros] also."
John 5:24-26 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth [PAP] my word, and believeth [PAP] on him that sent me, hath [PAI] everlasting life, and shall not come [PMI] into condemnation; but is passed [RAI] from death unto life.
John 6:27-29 "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. 28. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29. Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."
Ephesians 5:8-11 "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works [DEEDS] of darkness, but rather reprove them."
