ROMANS 8:29-30

Text:  Romans 8:29-30  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

WHOM

Romans 8:29  For whom [masculine plural] he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many [masc. plural adjective] brethren [masc. plural].

WHOM? THE SAINTS

Romans 8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints [masculine plural] according to the will of God.

WHOM? WHO LOVE GOD, THE CALLED

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love [masc. plural present participle] God, to them who are the called [adjective, masc. plural] according to his purpose.

WHOM? THOSE HE PREDESTINATED

Romans 8:30  Moreover whom [masc. plural] he did predestinate, them [masc. plural] he also called: and whom [masc. plural] he called, them [masc. plural] he also justified: and whom [masc. plural] he justified, them [masc. plural] he also glorified.

HE HAD FOREKNOWN

Romans 8:29  For whom he did foreknow [aorist active], he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

JESUS FOREKNEW NATHANAEL

HE ALSO DID PREDESTINATE

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [compound, ‘before, G4253’ + ‘determine, G3724’] to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

DETERMINATE

CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON

ALREADY CREATED IN HIS IMAGE

ENTER THE KINGDOM AND GLORY

FIRSTBORN AMONG BRETHREN

HE WILL BRING MANY SONS UNTO GLORY

2 Peter 1:10-11  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling (lords) and election (kings) sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:  11  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting [age-lasting] kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
