ROMANS 4:25-5:1
Sunday Morning: July 3,2005
Text: Romans 4:25-5:2 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 8:33-34 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth [present active participle]. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Hebrews 5:5-6 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for [the] ever [age, singular, (church age)] after the order of Melchisedec.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation [mercyseat] through faith in his blood, . . .
1 John 1:7 But if we walk [present active] in the light, as he is in the light, we have [present active] fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth [present active] us from all sin.
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Isaiah 57:20-21 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule [umpire, appointed to settle a dispute] in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Hebrews 9:11-14 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal [agelasting, church age] redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal [age] Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
1 Peter 3:21-22 The like figure whereunto even baptism (of repentance) doth also now save [present active, delivering] us (not (just) the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22. Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
1 Timothy 1:19 Holding [esteeming] faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [faithless] is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Hebrews 10:21-23 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication (submission) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
1 John 3:19-22 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
