IT
TAKES GRACE TO DIE
Sunday
Morning: July 25, 2004
Text: Colossians 3:1-4 "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things
which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2. Set
your affection on things above, not on things on
the earth. 3. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ
in God. 4. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall
ye also appear with him in glory."

Timothy 6:6-9 "But godliness with contentment
is great gain. 7. For we brought nothing into this world, and
it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8. And having food and
raiment let us be therewith content. 9. But they that will be rich
(the rich are not content) fall into temptation and a snare, and into
many foolish and hurtful lusts (discontent), which drown men
in destruction and perdition."
Hebrews
13:5 "Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:

Philippians
4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want:
for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to
be content."

nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I
now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved
me, and gave himself for me. 21. I do not frustrate the grace of God:
for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
Galatians
2:19 "For I through the law am
dead to the law, that I might live unto God."
Galatians

of life."

may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
2
