THE WORD OF GOD
Sunday
Morning: April 25, 2004
Read: Luke 8:5-11 "A [the] sower went out to sow his [the]
seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden
down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6. And some fell upon a
rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked
moisture. 7. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with
it, and choked it. 8. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and
bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He
that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9. And his disciples asked
him, saying, What might this parable be? 10. And he said, Unto you it is
given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in
parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Text: Hebrews 5:11-14 ". . . we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered,
seeing ye are dull of hearing. (These had ears to hear) 12. For
when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you
again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk (predigested food), and not
of strong [solid, from the milk] meat [food, not flesh].
13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe. 14. But strong [solid]
meat [food] belongeth to them that are of full age, even those
who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil."
Hebrews
5:12-14 "For when for the time ye ought to be
teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first
principles (basics, 2 pet. 3:12) of the oracles of God; and are
become such as have need of milk, and not of strong [solid]
meat [food (from the milk)].”

Corinthians 3:1-3 "And I, brethren, could not speak unto
you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2. I have fed you with milk (predigested food), and not
with meat [victuals]: for hitherto ye were not able to
bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3. For ye are yet carnal:
for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions,
are ye not carnal, and walk as men?"
1
Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing
among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."

thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things
from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father;
for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22. All things are delivered to me
of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the
Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. 23. And

a little (butter fat):"
