BONDAGE
AGAIN?
Sunday Morning: August 3, 2003
Text: Galatians 4:8-11 "Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto
them which by nature are no gods. 9. But now, after that ye have known
God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly
elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10. Ye observe
days, and months, and times, and years. 11. I am afraid of you, lest I
have bestowed upon you labour in vain."
ADDRESSING JEWS

nature are no gods (judges or rulers)."

I said, Ye are gods? 35. If he called them gods, unto whom
the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;"

of the Jews:"
Matthew 23:2-4 "Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in
Moses' seat: 3. All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe
and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4. For
they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's
shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers."
Titus 1:14, 16 "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments

work reprobate [disapproved]."
Galatians
4:2-3 "But is under tutors and governors

after that in the wisdom of God the world (Israel) by wisdom knew not
God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them (of the
nation of Israel) that believe [present active]. 22. For the Jews
(world) require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23. But
we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews (world) a stumblingblock,
and unto the Greeks foolishness;"
