RAISED TO JUSTIFY
Sunday Morning: April 20, 2003
Text: Galatians 3:11 "But
that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident:
for, The just shall live by faith."
Matthew
28:5-10 "And the angel answered and said unto
the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place
where the Lord lay.
7.
And go
quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and,
behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have
told you. 8. And they departed quickly from the sepulcher with fear and
great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9. And as
they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All
hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10. Then
said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go
into Galilee, and there shall they see me."
Romans

the cross)for our offences, and was raised again for our
justification."
Galatians
2:16 "Knowing that a man is not justified
by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we
have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith
of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law
shall no flesh be justified."

twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits,

the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely
ye have received, freely give."

2:3-4 "How shall we escape, if we neglect so
great salvation (enter the kingdom of the heaven); which at the first
began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed
unto us by them (apostles, his disciples)that heard (literally)
him; 4. God also bearing them witness, both with signs and
wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts [divided,
distributed] of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?" (sign
gifts distributed according to the will of the Holy Spirit)

Corinthians 12:8-10 "For to one is
given by the Spirit . . 9. To
another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts (plural,
more than one) of healing by the same Spirit; 10. To
another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to
another the interpretation of tongues:"

Corinthians 12:12 "Truly the signs of an apostle
were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and
mighty deeds."
1
Corinthians 13:8-10 "Charity never
faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there
be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9. For we
know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10. But when that (full
cannon of the scriptures) which is perfect [complete] is
come, then that (prophecies) which is in part (and the
sign gifts) shall be done away."

8:10-11 "And he said, Unto you it is given to
know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing

Corinthians 15:13-17 "But if there
be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not
risen: 14. And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching
vain, and your faith is also vain. 15. Yea, and we are
found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised
up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16. For
if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17. And if Christ be
not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins."

7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
