Text: Galatians 1:1-5
"Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ,
and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
2. And all the brethren which are with me, unto the
churches of Galatia:
3.
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4. Who gave himself for our
sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the
will of God and our Father: 5.
To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
Galatians 2:16 "Knowing that a man is not
justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we
have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of
Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no
flesh be justified."
Galatians 3:11 "But that no man is
justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall
live by faith."
Acts 13:14 "But when they departed from
Perga
(of Pamphylia, south of Galatia), they came to
Antioch
in
Pisidia
(Roman province of Galatia), and went into the synagogue on the sabbath

Acts 13:39 "And by him all that believe [present active participle] are justified [present passive indicative] from all things, from which ye could not be justified [aorist passive infinitive] by the law of Moses."
Acts 13:42 "And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath."
Acts 13:46-48 "Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God (mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, Luke 8:10-11)should first have been spoken to you (Jews): but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles (who had been excluded Mathew 10:5,6).
47. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord [the Word of the God, other ms]: and as many as were ordained [perfect passive participle] to eternal life believed."
Acts 14:22 "Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: . . ."
2 Corinthians 5:9-10 "Wherefore we labour [ambition], that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted [pleasing] of him. 10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad [evil]."
