SANCTIFICATION
Sunday Morning: September 8, 2002
Text: Hebrews 13:12-13 "Wherefore Jesus also, that
he might sanctify [set apart] the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13. Let us go
forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach."
Hebrews 11:26 "Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt:
for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward."
REWARD FOR SERVICE
Colossians 3:23-24
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto
men; 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord
Christ."
1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
"For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye
should abstain from fornication: 4. That every one of you should know how to
possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;"
1 Thessalonians 4:7
"For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness [sanctification]."
2 Timothy 2:21-22
"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 22. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on

commend you to God, and to the
word of his grace, which is able to
build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."
Romans 5:21 "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness (part of sanctification)unto eternal [agelasting, kingdom] life by Jesus Christ our Lord."
Hebrews 4:15-16 "For we have not an high
priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in
all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy (at the mercy seat where the blood is for sanctification), and find grace to help in time of need (service)."
