Text:
Hebrews 11:8 "By
faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place
which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went
out, not knowing whither he went."
Matthew 22:14
"For many are called, but few are chosen [ek
+
legw, called out]."
Acts 7:2-5
"And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory
appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia,
before he dwelt in Charran, 3. And said unto him, Get thee out
of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I
shall show thee. 4. Then came he out of the land of the
Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead,
he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. 5. And he
gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on:
yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed
after him, when as yet he had no child."
Genesis 12:1-4
"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country,
and from thy kindred, and from thy
father's house, unto a land that I will show thee: 2. And I
will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name
great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3. And I will bless them that
bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of
the earth be blessed. 4. So Abram departed, as the LORD had
spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five
years old when he departed out of Haran."
Genesis 13:7-9
"And there was a strife between
the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the
Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. 8. And Abram said
unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and
between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. 9. Is
not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee,
from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go
to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to
the left."
Genesis 13:11
"Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and
they separated themselves the one from the other."
Numbers 8:14
"Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among
the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine."
Numbers 16:9
"Seemeth it but a small thing
unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the
congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to
do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the
congregation to minister unto them?"
Genesis 13:14-18
"And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot
was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes,
and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward,
and westward: 15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I
give it, and to thy seed for ever. 16. And I will make thy seed as the
dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then
shall thy seed also be numbered. 17. Arise, walk through the land
in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18. Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the
plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the
LORD."
Genesis 12:7 "And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed
will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who
appeared unto him."
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 "Be ye not
unequally yoked together with unbelievers [apistov, unfaithful]: for what fellowship hath righteousness with
unrighteousness [lawlessness]? and what communion hath light with
darkness? 15. And what concord [agreement] hath Christ with
Belial? or what part hath he that believeth [pistov,
faithful]
with an infidel [apistov, unfaithful]? 16. And what agreement hath the
temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath
said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people. 17. Wherefore come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean
thing; and I will receive you, 18. And will
be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
Revelation 21:7
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I
will be his God, and he shall be my son."
2 Corinthians 7:1
"Having [ecw, esteeming] therefore these promises (verses 17, 18),
dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness
of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in
the fear of God."
Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20. Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that
they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
Hebrews 11:8 "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a
place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and
he went out, not knowing whither he went."
