Text: 2
Thessalonians 2:1-3 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit,
nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,"
2 Timothy 3:1-4 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (no self control), fierce [brutal], despisers of those that are good,
4. Traitors [treacherous], heady (reckless), high minded (conceited), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;"

heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that
doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven."

2:1

by the
coming [parousia, presence] of our Lord

presence [before]
of our Lord Jesus Christ at his

unblameable
in holiness before God, even
our Father, at the coming
[parousia,
presence] of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints."

2:2
"That ye be not soon
shaken [to move, to waver]
in mind [thought, understanding], or be
troubled, neither by
spirit (a prophetic spirit), nor by
word [message], nor
by letter
as from us, as that the day of
Christ [the day of the Lord]
is at hand."
2 Thessalonians 1:3
"We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet,
because that your faith
groweth exceedingly,
and the charity of every one of you
all toward each other aboundeth;"

No man, having put his hand to the plow, and
looking back,
is fit for the kingdom of God."

1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, . . .
4. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

Hebrews 6:1,3-6 "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; . . . .
3. And this will we do, if God permit.
4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. “
1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
