Text:
2 Thessalonians 1:6-8
"Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense
tribulation to them that trouble you;
7. And to you who are troubled rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that
know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"
Luke 17:1 "Then said
he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come:
but woe unto him, through whom they come!"
1 Timothy 1:19-20 "Holding
faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith
have made shipwreck: 20. Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander;
whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme."
2 Timothy 2:17-18
"And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and
Philetus; 18. Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the
resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some."
2 Timothy 4:14-15
"Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him
according to his works: 15. Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly
withstood our words."
Matthew 16:21-23 "From that
time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto
Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying,
Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou
art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of
God, but those that be of men."
Revelation 2:12-14
"And to the
angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the
sharp sword with two edges;
13. I know thy works and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's
seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even
in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you,
where Satan dwelleth.
14. But I have a few
things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of
Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock [skandalon,
an offence] before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto
idols, and to commit fornication."
Matthew 18:4-7, 10 "Whosoever
therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is
greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name
receiveth me.
6. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe
[present active participle] in me, it were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the
depth of the sea.
7. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be
that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!"
2 Thessalonians 1:7 "And to you who are
troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with his mighty angels,
Matthew 16:27 "For the
Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and
then he shall reward every man (disciple, v. 24) according to his
works."
BEGINNING OF THE MILLENNIUM
Matthew 25:31 "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:"
Matthew 25:44-45 "Then
shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered,
or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not
minister unto thee?
45. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as
ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
Revelation 20:11, 15 "And I saw
a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth
and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire."
2 Thessalonians 1:7 “In flaming fire
taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ:
Matthew 13:39-43 "The enemy
that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the
reapers are the angels.
40. As therefore the tares (figurative language) are gathered
and burned in the fire (fruit destroyed); so shall it be in the
end of this world [aiwn, age].
41. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall
gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them
which do iniquity [lawlessness];
42. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire (figurative): there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear."
2 Thessalonians 1:6-8 "Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense
tribulation to them that trouble you;
JESUS IS COMING!
7. And to you who are troubled rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty
angels, “
