Read: Acts 8:27 - 39
Text: Acts 8:37

[present active] with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said,

Son of God."

preached unto him Jesus.
“
Isaiah 53:6-7
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him
(Jesus) the iniquity of us all.
7.
He was oppressed, and
he was afflicted, yet
he
opened not
his
mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to
the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so
he openeth not
his
mouth."

"Yet it pleased the LORD to
bruise
him; he hath put him to
grief: when thou shalt make
his soul an
offering for sin, he shall
see his seed (Heb. 2:16
the seed of Abraham; Gal. 3:7), he shall
prolong
his days, and
the pleasure of the LORD (Luke
12:32 ... it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.)
shall prosper in his (Jesus) hand.
Hebrews 5:5
"So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest;
but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee."
OUR HIGH PRIEST
Hebrews 4:14-16 "Seeing then that we have
a
great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15.
For we have not an
high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all
points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the
throne of grace,
that we may
obtain mercy
(cleansing, forgiveness), and
find grace (for service) to help in time of need."
Hebrews 12:28 "Wherefore we receiving a
kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may
serve God acceptably . . ."
Hebrews 9:11
"But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come,
. . ."
Isaiah 53:11
"He shall see of the
travail of his soul,
and shall be satisfied: by
his
knowledge shall my righteous
servant justify
many; for he shall
bear their
iniquities.
Matthew 22:14
"For many are called,
but few are chosen."

walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and
glory."
Romans 8:29-30 "For whom he did
foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom
he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified."
Colossians 2:15
"And having
spoiled
principalities and
powers,
he made a show of them openly,
triumphing
over them in it."
2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have
fought a good fight, I have
finished my course, I have
kept the faith: 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a
crown of righteousness, . . ."
Acts 8:36-37
"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch
said, See, here is water; what doth
hinder me to be baptized?
37.
And Philip said,
If thou believest
[present active] with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he
answered and said,
I believe
[present active] that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
PAUL PREACHED
Acts 9:20 "And straightway
he
preached
Christ
in the synagogues, that
he
is
the
Son of God."
Romans 1:4
"And
declared to be the
Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the
resurrection from the dead:"
Ephesians 1:19-20
"And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who
believe [present active], according to the
working of his mighty power,
20. Which he wrought in Christ,
when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own
right hand in the heavenly places,"
OVERCOMER
PURPOSE OF THE SON OF GOD
1 John 3:8
"He that
committeth
[present active] [the]
sin
(lawlessness, v 4) is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the
Son of God
was manifested, that he might
destroy the works
of the devil (in our lives)."
Hebrews 10:28-29
"He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29. Of
how much sorer
punishment,
suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath
trodden under
foot the
Son of God.
. ."
GOOD FOR NOTHING
Matthew 5:13
". . . if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is
thenceforth
good
for
nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be
trodden
under
foot
of men."
Hebrews 6:6
"If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they
crucify to themselves
the
Son of God afresh, and put him to an
open shame."
John 19:15
"But they cried out,
Away with him,
away with him,
crucify him.
. . ."
John 20:31
"But these are written, that ye might
believe
[present active] that Jesus is the Christ, the
Son of God;
and that
believing [present active]
ye might
have [present active,
regardeth]
life
through his name."
REGARD THE SON OF GOD
1 John 5:12-13
"He that
hath
[present active, regardeth] the Son
hath
[present active, regardeth] [the]
life;
and he that
hath
[present active, regardeth] not the
Son of God
hath [present active, regardeth] not [the]
life.
13. These things have I written unto you that
believe [present active] on the name of the
Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have [present active, regardeth]
eternal
life,
and that ye may
believe
[present active] on the name of the
Son of God."
