Text:  Romans 15:13-16  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.  14  And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.  15  Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,  16  That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU

Romans 15:13  Now the God of hope fill [aorist active optative] you with all joy and peace in believing [present active infinitive, to believing], that ye may abound [present active infinitive, to abounding] in [the] hope, through the power [dunamiv, mighty work], of the Holy Ghost.

MIGHT WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

HAVING A REGARD FOR HOPE

Romans 15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have [present active of ecw, regard, esteem] hope.

REJOICING IN HOPE

Romans 12:12  Rejoicing [present active participle] in hope; patient [present active participle] in tribulation; continuing [present active participle] instant [present active participle] in prayer;

IT TAKES HONEY TO KNOW THE HOPE

Ephesians 1:17-18  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge [epignwsiv, exact knowledge] of him:  18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

MIGHT BE FILLED WITH KNOWLEDGE

Colossians 1:9-11  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge [epignwsiv, exact knowledge] of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;  10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge [epignwsiv, exact knowledge] of God;  11  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

THE CALLING

1 Thessalonians 2:12  That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

THE HOPE IS HEAVENLY

Colossians 1:5  For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

DON’T MOVE FROM THE HOPE

Colossians 1:23  If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, …

THE HOPE IS A REVEALED MYSTERY

Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

PERSEVERING HOPE

1 Thessalonians 1:3  Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience [perseverance] of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ…

WAITING FOR THE HOPE

Romans 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

HOLD FAST THE REJOICING HOPE

Hebrews 3:6  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

HOLD FAST TO HOPE

Hebrews 10:21-23  And having an high priest over the house of God;  22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.  23  Let us hold fast the profession [confession] of our faith [hope] without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

PRIEST OF GOOD THINGS TO COME

Hebrews 9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, …

A LIVING HOPE

1 Peter 1:3-5  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,  5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation (so great salvation) ready to be revealed in the last time.

HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE HOPE

Titus 3:7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

HOPE OF AGELASTING LIFE

Titus 1:1-2  Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging [exact knowledge] of the truth which is after godliness [holiness, piety];  2  In [leading to] hope of eternal [agelasting] life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world [ages] began [times];

GOOD HOPE THROUGH GRACE

2 Thessalonians 2:16  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting [agelasting] consolation [exhortation] and good [good things] hope through grace,

GRACE WHEREIN WE HOPE

Romans 5:2  By whom (our high priest) also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

ABLE TO ADMONISH

Romans 15:14  And I myself also am persuaded [perfect passive] of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled [perfect passive] with all knowledge, able also to admonish [present active] one another.

TEACH THOSE WHO WILL TEACH OTHERS

2 Timothy 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

CONFIDENT MINISTRY

Romans 15:15-16  Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly [greater confidence] unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind [present active], because of the grace that is given to me of God,  16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering [present active] the gospel of God, that the offering up [sacrifice] of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

PAUL’S MINISTRY

1 Timothy 2:7  Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity [truth].
