Text: Romans 8:10-11 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you
STIR YOU UP
2 Peter 1:11-13 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting [agelasting] kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
TRADITION
Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
IF CHRIST BE IN YOU
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is
dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because
of righteousness.
NASB TRANSLATION

LITERALLY AT GOD’S RIGHT HAND
1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
CAN BE LOST
Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
THE HOPE OF GLORY
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
THE MIND OF CHRIST
Philippians 2:5-9 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name
A LIVING HOPE
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To [for] an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
HOPE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Galatians 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait [present
middle] for the hope of righteousness by [ek,
out of] faith.
THE BODY IS DEAD
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, [though] the body
is dead because of sin; but the Spirit
is life because of righteousness.
RECKONED DEAD
Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
ALIVE BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is
dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.
LIVE UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: . . .
ALIVE FROM THE DEAD
Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS
1 John 2:28-29 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth [present active, practices] righteousness is born of him.
THIS HOPE IN HIM
1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons [children] of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
EVIDENCE OF THE HOPE
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU

HOLD FAST THY CROWN
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
WATCH AND PRAY
Luke 21:34-36 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting [excess], and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares (distracted). 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things (surfeiting, drunkenness, cares of life) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
LOOK TO YOURSELVES
2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
IN THE FAITH
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
