Text: Romans 1:15-16 "So, as
much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at
Rome also. 16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek."
Romans 1:15 "So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the

God."

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "But if our gospel be hid [veiled], it
is hid [veiled] to them that are lost [perishing,
present active]: 4. In whom the god of this world hath
blinded the minds of them (that are perishing) which believe
not (Paul’s gospel), lest the light of the glorious
gospel [the gospel of the glory of the Christ] of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ [“of Christ” omitted in the Nestles text]: for it is the power of
God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to
the Greek."
“TO
THE JEW FIRST”
Matthew 10:5-6 "These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go
not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans
(descendents of Joseph) enter ye not: 6. But go rather
to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
“ALSO
TO THE GREEK” (Gentile)
Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall
call."

2:17-19 "And came and preached peace to you
(Gentiles) which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
(the house of Israel) 18. For through him we both have
access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19. Now therefore ye (Gentiles)
are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with
the saints, and of the household of God;"
“NOT ASHAMED”

words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his
own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels."

white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I

judgment seat)
2
Timothy 1:7-8 "For God hath not given us the
spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our
Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the
gospel according to the power of God;"
“THE POWER OF GOD”
1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross (dying
to self) is to them that perish [present middle] foolishness;
but unto us which are saved [present passive, being saved] it is
the power of God."

which was once delivered unto the saints."
HOW TO BE SAVED

the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy
house."

that heard him;"

[leading to] salvation."

Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you [us]
is the word of this salvation sent."
2 Timothy 2:9-10 "Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto
bonds; but the word of God is not bound. 10. Therefore I endure
all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation
which is in Christ Jesus with eternal [agelasting] glory."
Acts 28:27-28 "For the heart
of this people (saved Jews) is waxed gross, and their ears are
dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see
with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God
is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear
it (preached)."
