Read Romans 1:1-7
Text: Romans 1:6 "Among whom are ye also the
called of Jesus Christ:"
“YE”
Romans 1:5 ". . . for obedience to the faith among all nations [Gentiles]
for his name:"
“ALSO”
Romans 1:16 ". . to the Jew first, and also
to the Greek (Gentiles)."
Matthew 10:5-7 "These
twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into
the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans
enter ye not: 6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the
house of Israel. 7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is at hand."
Matthew 21:43 "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken
from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."
”THE CALLED”
Matthew 22:14 "For many are called (agelasting life in
the kingdom), but few (even
less) are chosen."
1 Thessalonians 2:12 "That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called
you unto his kingdom and glory."
1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal
life, whereunto thou art also called,. . ."
Acts 15:14 "Simeon
hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out
of them a people for his name."
Acts 10:45 "And
they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with
Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift
of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38-39 "Then
Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39. For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."
1 John 2:25 "And
this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal
[agelasting] life."
Matthew
15:22-28 "And, behold, a woman of Canaan
came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O
Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed
with a devil. 23. But he answered her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after
us. 24. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost
sheep of the house of Israel. 25. Then came she and worshipped
him, saying, Lord, help me. 26. But he answered and said,
It is not meet [fit] to take the children's bread,
and cast it to dogs (unclean Gentiles). 27. And she
said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters'
table. 28. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy
faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. (did not touch her daughter)
And her daughter was made whole from that very hour."
Matthew 9:18-19 "While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a
certain ruler (Jairus, Mark 5:22), and worshipped him, saying, My daughter
is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19. And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples."
Matthew 9:23-25 "And
when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people
making a noise, 24. He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is
not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. 25. But when
the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the
maid arose."
Matthew 9:27-31 "And
when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him,
crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. 28. And
when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus
saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea,
Lord. 29. Then touched he their eyes, saying,
According to your faith be it unto you. 30. And their eyes were opened;
and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. 31.
But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all
that country."
Acts 10:28 "And he
said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a
Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed
me that I should not call any man common or unclean."
(Gentiles were unclean: Isaiah 52:11
"Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing;
go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the
LORD.")
Mark 10:46-52 "And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with
his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of
Timaeus, [unclean, possibly from the Hebrew word H2931, Isaiah 52:1 ". . . Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth
there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised (Gentile) and the unclean
H2931.] sat by the highway side begging. 47. And when he heard that
it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son
of David, have mercy on me. 48. And many charged him that he should hold
his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have
mercy on me. 49. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called.
And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth
thee. 50. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do
unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed
Jesus in the way."
Romans 9:15-16 "For he
saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will
have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16. So then it is not
of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth
mercy."
1 Peter 2:8 "And a
stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at
the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed."
Matthew 21:42-43 "Jesus
saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the
builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the
Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43. Therefore say I unto
you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a
nation [Gentiles] bringing forth the fruits
thereof."
1 Peter 2:9-10 "But ye
(elect Gentiles, vs.1,2) are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar [purchased possession]
people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out
of darkness (blindness) into his marvellous light:
10. Which in time past were not a people, but are now
the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now
have obtained mercy."
Ephesians 3:5-6 "Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of
men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by
the Spirit; 6. That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of
the same body, and partakers of his
[the] promise in Christ by the gospel:"
