1:1-7
Text: Romans 1:4 "And declared to
be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by
the resurrection from the dead:"
"RESURRECTION":
Acts
13:33 "God hath fulfilled the same unto us
their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in
the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
Hebrews
5:5-6 "So also Christ glorified not himself
to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day
have I begotten thee. 6. As he saith also in another place, Thou art
a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
Ephesians
1:19-20 "And what is the exceeding greatness
of his power to us-ward who believe [present active], according
to the working of his mighty power, 20. Which he wrought in Christ, when
he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the
heavenly places,"
Romans
4:25 "Who was delivered for our offences,
and was raised again for our justification."
Romans 1:4 “.
. by the [ejk, out from]
resurrection from the dead [ones]:”
Luke
20:35-36 "But they which shall be accounted
worthy to obtain that world [age], and the resurrection
from [ejk, out from] the dead [ones], neither marry, nor
are given in marriage: 36. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal
unto the angels; and are the children [sons] of
God, being the children [sons] of the resurrection."
Acts
26:23
"That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that
should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles."
Acts
26:23 "That Christ should suffer, and that
he should be the first [best, chief] that should rise (not
in text) [resurrection is in the text] from [ejk, out from] the dead [ones],
and should show light [to declare, present active infinitive, in the
Greek text] unto the people (Israel), and to the
Gentiles." (those in the family that have eyes to see and ears
to hear)

Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten
us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from [ejk, out from] the dead [ones],"
GIVEN GLORY
1 Peter 1:21 Who by him
do believe [present active participle] in God, that raised him
up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope (that
God would raise you from the dead and give you glory) might be in God.
GIVEN A THRONE
Acts 2:30-32 Therefore
being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of
the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ
to sit on his throne; 31. He seeing this before spake of the resurrection
of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see
corruption. 32. This Jesus hath God raised up,
whereof we all are witnesses.
MAY BE RAISED?
John 6:39-40 And this
is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth [present
active (looking unto)] the Son, and believeth [present active]
on him (the Father), may have everlasting [agelasting]
life: and I will raise him up at the last day (7th
day, the millennium).
PAUL'S DESIRE
Philippians
3:11 "If by any means I might attain unto
the resurrection [out resurrection, ejk + anastasiv, one word, exanastasiv] of [ejk, out from] the dead [ones]."
OUT RESURRECTION
Philippians 3:14-15 I press
toward the mark for the prize of the high [above] calling
of God in Christ Jesus. 15. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be
thus minded: . . .
ABOVE CALLING TO
GLORY
Luke 14:10 But when thou art bidden, go
and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say
unto thee, Friend, go up higher [high + above]: then shalt thou have
worship [glory] in the presence of them that sit at meat with
thee.
"FROM THE DEAD":
The
word “dead” is plural, dead ones.
Luke
24:9-11 "And returned from the sepulchre, and told
all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10. It
was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of
James, and other women that were with them, which told these
things unto the apostles. 11. And their words seemed to them
as idle tales, and they believed them not."
Luke 24:39 "Behold my hands and
my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not
flesh and bones, as ye see me have."
THEY SAW THE LORD
AND WERE GLAD
John 20:20 "And when he had so said, he
showed unto them his hands and his side.
Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord."
John
20:25-29 "The other disciples therefore said
unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall
see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of
the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26. And
after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then
came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be
unto you. 27. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy
finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into
my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28. And
Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29. Jesus saith
unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are
they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
1 Corinthians 15:4-8 "And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures: 5. And that he was seen of Cephas,
then of the twelve: 6. After that, he was seen of above five hundred
brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some
are fallen asleep. 7. After that, he was seen of James; then
of all the apostles. 8. And last of all he was seen of
me also, as of one born out of due time."
Acts
4:2 "Being grieved that
they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection
from [ejk, out from] the dead [ones]."
Acts
4:33 "And with great power gave the apostles
witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace
was upon them all."
