Text: 1 John 1:7-10 "But if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8. If we
say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he
is faithful and just to forgive [send from] us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we
say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his
word is not in us."
Hebrews
9:22 "And almost all things
are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of
blood is no remission [deliverance, forgiveness, liberty,
remission]."
Leviticus 24:15 "And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying,
Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin."
Numbers 9:13 "But the man that is clean, and is not
in a journey, and forbeareth (refuse) to keep the passover, even the
same (lawless) soul shall be cut off from among his people:
because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that
man shall bear his sin."
Hebrews 10:26-28 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have
received the knowledge [knowledge upon knowledge] of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27. But a certain fearful
looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the
adversaries. 28. He that despised Moses' law died without
mercy under two or three witnesses:"
Luke 13:27-28 "But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are;
depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity [lawlessness]. 28. There
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye
shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom
of God, and you yourselves thrust out."
Daniel
9:3-6 "And I set my face unto the Lord God,
to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4. And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession,
and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the
covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep
his commandments; 5. We have sinned, and
have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly,
and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts
and from thy judgments: 6. Neither have we hearkened
unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to
our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the
land."
Psalms
103:9-12 "He will not always
chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10. He
hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded
us according to our iniquities. 11. For as the heaven is high
above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear
him. 12. As far as the east is from the
west, so far hath he removed our transgressions
from us."
Psalms
86:5 "For thou, Lord, art good, and
ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon
thee."
Matthew
6:12 "And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.”
Matthew
6:14-15 "For if ye forgive [send
+ from] men their trespasses (debts), your heavenly Father will
also forgive [send + from] you: 15. But if ye
forgive not men their trespasses (debts), neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses (debts)."
Mark
11:25-26 "And when ye stand praying, forgive,
if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may
forgive you your trespasses (debts). 26. But if ye
do not forgive, neither will your Father
which is in heaven forgive your trespasses (debts)."
Psalms 66:18 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will
not hear me:"
1 John 3:21-22 "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have
we confidence toward God. 22. And whatsoever we
ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do
those things that are pleasing in his sight."
Luke
17:3-4 "Take heed to yourselves: If thy
brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive
him. 4. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and
seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I
repent; thou shalt forgive him."
Matthew
18:21-22 "Then came Peter to him, and said,
Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven
times? 22. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven
times: but, Until seventy times seven."
Matthew
18:23-35 "Therefore is the kingdom of heaven
likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his
servants. 24. And when he had begun to reckon, one was
brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded
him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to
be made. 26. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him,
saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion,
and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow
servants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him
by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29. And his fellow
servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience
with me, and I will pay thee all. 30. And he would not: but went and
cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very
sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O
thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou
desiredst me: 33. Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow
servant, even as I had pity on thee?
34. And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to
the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35. So
likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto
you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother
their trespasses."
Colossians 3:12-13 "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13. Forbearing (put up with) one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
