Text: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

BREAKING OF BREAD

Acts 2:42 And they continued [imperfect active, relentless], stedfastly [present active] in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

TO BREAK BREAD

THEIR EYES WERE OPENED

Luke 24:30-31 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

HE WAS KNOWN OF THEM

HE OPENED THEIR UNDERSTANDING

TO DISCERN GOOD AND EVIL

CHOOSE THE GOOD

IMMANUEL IS HIS NAME

HONEY

THE LORD OPENED HER HEART

KINGDOM HAS TO BE UNDERSTOOD

Matthew 13:19 When any one heareth [present active] the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [present active, to put together] it not, then cometh [present middle] the wicked one, and catcheth away [present active] that which was sown in his heart.

THOSE THAT UNDERSTAND

Matthew 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth [present active] the word, and understandeth [present active, to put together] it; which also beareth fruit [present active], and bringeth forth [present active], some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

WARNING

2 Peter 2:20-21 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge [epignwsiv, knowledge upon knowledge, butter] of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness (knowledge upon knowledge) than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

RESPONSIBLE/ACCOUNTABLE

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge [epignwsiv, knowledge upon knowledge] of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (you will not confess)

MUCH GIVEN, MUCH REQUIRED
