The Life

1 John 1:2 "(For the life was manifested, ... that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)"

The Life Given To Jesus Christ

The Promise Defined

1 John 2:25 "And this is the promise that he hath [the] promised us, even eternal life."

Things equal to the same thing are equal to each other.

Then

 You Work For Eternal Life

Romans 2:6-7 "Who will render to every man according to his deeds: [WORKS] 7. To them who by patient continuance in well doing [WORKS] seek for glory and honour and immortality [incorruption], eternal life: [belongs at the beginning of verse 7]"

The Gift Is The Promise

Acts 2:38-39 "...Repent, and be baptized [Kingdom of Heaven Message] every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift [Heavenly Inheritance] of the Holy Ghost. 39. For the promise is unto you, and to your children [Israel], and to all that are afar off [Gentiles], even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

The Inheritance by Pleasing Him

Romans 4:13 "For the promise [inheritance, agelasting life, the life, the gift], that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law [can not please Him], but through the righteousness of faith [pleasing Him, Heb 11:6]."

Obtain The Promise

Hebrews 6:15 "And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise [inheritance, agelasting life, the life, the gift]."

YE MIGHT RECEIVE THE PROMISE

Hebrews 10:35-36 "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward [inheritance]. 36. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise [inheritance, agelasting life, the life, the gift]."
