Text: Genesis 15:1 "After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward."
AFTER THESE THINGS
Genesis 15:1 "After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision [seeing], saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield [buckler], and thy exceeding great reward [wages]."
CONFLICT WITH LOT
Genesis 13:14 "And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:"

NOTHING TOO HARD

I AM THY SHIELD

THE LORD IS A BUCKLER
Psalms 3:3-4 "But thou, O LORD, art a shield [buckler] for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah."
THE UPRIGHT
Psalms 7:10 "My defense [buckler] is of God, which saveth the upright in heart."
HOPE IN THE WORD
Psalms 119:114 "Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word."
TRUST HIM
Proverbs 30:5 "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
I AM THY GREAT REWARD

WAGES
Exodus 2:9 "And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it."
YOU SAY IT DOESN'T PAY

LABORERS ARE TO BE PAID
John 4:36 "And he that reapeth receiveth wages [reward], and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together."
LABORER IS WORTHY
1 Timothy 5:18 "For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward [wages]."
GIVEN THEIR WAGES
Matthew 20:8 "So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire [wages], beginning from the last unto the first."
EVERY MAN HIS OWN WAGES
1 Corinthians 3:8 "Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward [wages] according to his own labour."
WORKS TESTED BY FIRE
1 Corinthians 3:14 "If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward [wages]."
DON'T TAKE A CUT IN PAY
2 John 1:8 "Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward [wage]."
WHAT EVER YOU DO
Colossians 3:23-25 "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward [payment for] of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons."
