Text: John 19:34 "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water."
Blood is used 11 times in the book of Genesis and not a single time with reference to a sacrifice or offering made unto God. All but one have to do with the shedding of mans blood as when Cain killed Able.
The first mention of blood and the sacrifice is found in Exodus 12:7 "And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it." This was to protect the first born who would get the double portion inheritance.
GOOD THINGS TO COME

WORTHY WALK IS IN THE LIGHT
1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
Acts 20:28 "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased [OBTAINED, PRESURVED} with his own blood."

Romans 5:9. " Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
THE CALLED ARE JUSTIFIED
