CALLING AND ELECTION NOT SURE

2 Peter 1:10-11  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make [present middle] your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things (add to your faith, vrs 5-7), ye shall never fall:  11  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting [age] kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

HIS WORKMANSHIP

Ephesians 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS

Titus 3:8  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed [perfect active] in God might be careful [anxious] to maintain good works.

UNTO GOOD WORKS

Romans 2:6-7  Who will render to every man according to his deeds:  7  To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek [present active participle, ones seeking] for glory and honour and immortality [incorruption], eternal [age] life (of glory and honor in the coming kingdom age):

UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST

THERE WILL COME A FALLING AWAY FIRST

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

DEPARTING FROM THE FAITH

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

DEPARTING FROM GOD

IN THAT DAY

CROWNED IN THAT DAY

2 Timothy 4:7-8  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at [in] that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

GOD IS PERFECTING AND WORKING

Hebrews 13:20-21  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,  21  Make you perfect [optative mod, to mend, repair, adjust] in every good work to do his will, working [present active participle] in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

JESUS DID THE WILL OF THE FATHER

John 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear [present active, to listen (to his will)], I judge [present active, decide (his will)]: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

A SON IS ONE WHO OVERCOMES
