Read: Romans 1:1-7

Romans 1:4

"And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:"

With Power –

Ephesians 1:19-21  "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:"

Philippians 3:10  "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;"

Ephesians 4:13  "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"

1 John 5:5  "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"

1 Corinthians 2:5  "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

2 Corinthians 12:9  "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Colossians 1:11  "Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;"

2 Timothy 1:7  "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

2 Peter 1:3  "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"

According to the spirit of holiness –

according to” = kata<, preposition in relationship, “with reference to”

“holiness” found here and two other places. Not the Holy Spirit because there is no definite article “the” nor the word “holy”. This is a reference to Christ’s human spirit.

2 Corinthians 7:1  "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

1 Thessalonians 3:13  "To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints."

1 Peter 1:21  "Who by him (Jesus) do believe [present active] in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory (as a son); that your faith and hope might be in God."
